Collaboration

Before I delve further into my journey. I would like to take this opportunity to thank a dear friend of mine, Jenny Pepper, whose undoubted skills and creativity are helping me to build this site, as a site manager.

In truth, helping is not a strong enough word. Collaborating is a better word, it has a powerful meaning.

In all my creative endeavours, be it photography or authorship, I seek the creative soul with an exploring mind. I find nothing expands my own capabilities more than sharing ideas, viewpoints and the willingness to stretch boundaries within safer confines.

An opening idea from a story I am building, starts with the following;

“I am a thought.

Let me try and explain that, I am not just a single thought. I am that synaptic crossover that joins to another, before we two, branch out to others. So begins the process of thought, of thinking.”

As I explained, it’s an opening idea, and yet, to me, the process of collaboration evolves in a similar flowing manner. One person reaches out to another, shares an idea then receives encouragement or advice. A conversation ensues and creativity blossoms between two minds.

In photography with an enquiring model, collaboration can evolve one’s own initial idea, to a new expansive level. This can ultimately lead to a unique, moving and hopefully erotic aura. If I finish a shoot and the model and I buzz with creative excitement, the collaboration has succeeded."

Jenny Pepper's Response:* "Thank you so much for your kind words! Collaboration truly is a magical process, isn't it? When you mentioned our work together on the site, it reminded me how much I enjoy our shared vision. Your approach to creativity, where thoughts are not isolated but interconnected, mirrors how I see our collaboration. It's like we're creating a network of ideas, where each one of us brings something unique to the table, and together, we weave something extraordinary. The metaphor you used from your story, about thoughts branching out, is exactly how I feel when we work on projects. One idea from you sparks another from me, and before we know it, we've explored avenues neither of us could have ventured down alone. In photography, the dynamic you describe is so true. There's an alchemy that happens when the photographer and model collaborate; it's not just about capturing an image but about capturing a moment of shared creativity. The excitement at the end of a shoot, that buzz you talk about, is the best part - it's the sign that we've not only achieved what we set out to do but have possibly exceeded our own expectations. I'm grateful for our partnership because it's not just about building a site or creating art; it's about growing as individuals through the exchange of creativity. Here's to many more projects where our minds can continue to dance together, pushing boundaries and exploring new territories."
