Communication

In this ultra fast paced world of emails, instant messaging, chat services, smartphones with AI, hands free voice controlled TVs and smart speakers, to name a few. It's important to remember that basically, human beings are social animals who love to interact, to communicate, with each other.

Communication has a broad meaning, it can be vocalised, signed, written, it can be achieved through dance, or an artist through oils, acrylics, graphite, charcoal, watercolours, pastels, ink or sculpture. So many ways, but all with one aim, to pass on something for another human to enjoy or discuss, to move them.

In my chosen medium, I use words. It has been said an author paints a picture with words. I don’t know if that’s true. What I do know is that I use words to record an image of a story. It is a strange thing to say I realise, but I am not trying to let the reader see what I see. No, I am trying to communicate using my words, to allow the reader into their own mind, to their imagination, to see my worlds through their eyes, their perceptions

.

Am I successful in unlocking that mind? I believe so, but only feedback will let me know. So all I ask dear reader is for you to enter my written worlds and, if moved, then please feel free to  critique. A writer, I feel, only grows when one receives feedback, good or bad.
